Staff Council Corner - March 2001
Recently Staff Council has voted in two New Committees:
The first is a “Strategic Planning Committee” which consist of the following members: Don Fehlis, Birdie Bagwell, Debbie Chandler and Oscar Barrera. This committee was developed to create a strategic plan for Staff Council as well as a vision statement.
The Second is the “Staff Council Quality Committee” which consist of the following members: Gabriele Rios-Fraticelli, Oscar Barrera, Gordon Thyberg, Linda Allen and Margaret Yackel. The Chair of this committee is Susan Thompson. The goal of this committee is to help the Council become more aware of its members and help them see how we can function better as a group by getting to know each other. It will also help develop more creative ideas on how to get people involved. This group has already met several times and presented twelve new ideas to Staff Council on February 13th. The Council liked many of the ideas and immediately implemented two of them.
I would like to thank these individuals for taking the extra time out of their already busy schedules. Together we can continue to make Staff Council a committee that Southwest Texas State University is proud of! Thank you one and all!!
