The University Calendar-Staff Council attempted to "save" the two days of Christmas holidays and when that attempt was unsuccessful, requested that PC establish some criteria on how they would assess the FY 2001 calendar.
The Performance Awards-Staff Council conducted a survey of all staff. Based upon the responses from the survey, Staff Council recommended that the performance awards be continued with several modifications. PC has decided to continue the program and did make some changes to the criteria. A letter has gone out to ALL staff.
Made recommendations for general/merit increases-Staff Council has sent to PC recommendations regarding general/performance increases and merit allocations.
Has reviewed several UPPS' including making a recommendation that there be a policy change regarding compensation when an employee transfers to a different position.
Requested that PC allocate funding for outside smoking shelters on campus in response to supporting the "smoke-free" campus UPPS.
